Old World Restaurant in Floral City

A little gem in a small town called floral city. Been going my whole life. This restaurant always has a rustic feel that keeps me fascinated.

Great service,good food.Love their all you can eat soups.

Not an authentic German restaurant. They seem to cater to the elder crowd of Floral City, so their menu is a mixture of items such as prime rib as well as schnitzel.

Great food Great service. A little pricey.

If you can get past the "old folks home" scent of stale urine from the bathrooms being right up front, the food is good and the service is excellent. Home made soup and bread come with every meal.

Great food efficient try the pork chops delicious out of this world.

I heard they had great onion rings and so I stop by to check them out. There right they are delicious specially with a good cold beer.

Nice older type restaurant atmosphere with a clean look and attentive waitress service. Daily specials and a full menu with a touch of German fare. Had the 8 oz. Sirloin Steak special $ 14.50 with baked potato and garden salad. Very tasty.

The table service was good, and the staff were friendly, the restaurant building is a bit outdated, but it was clean.Food: The pork schnitzel was good.Unfortunately the broiled cod was overcooked, which made it chewy, and the apple sauce and the mashed potato were definitely not homemade, which was disappointing.The chicken noodle soup was homemade and unlimited, and they had nice french bread with it. As an overall experience it was okay.

Good food, service and prices. Quaint quiet place with great service. Loved the all you can eat soup bar and bread bar.

Exceptional food and service! The food was amazing and the staff expeditiously catered to our party of 19. They have freshly made bread, soup, and salad. DO NOT judge this restaurant on its appearance. It's worth your time and money! I recommend the key lime pie ala mode and the eggplant parmesan.

American in on Saturday night, a party of about 14 people were in dining area we were seated in. Wait staff looked frazzled. They were so loud, we could not even talk. No one should have been seated in that room besides them. There were 4 of us. Waited over an hour for our food. Never got refills on drinks. Duck was so well done it was dry and couldn't eat it. One of the veal schnitzel meals was so thick it was tough and breading fell off when cut. Other 2 meals were adequate. But after waiting so long with the loudness and thrills of the big party, we were not even hungry. Filled up on soup and bread just to satisfy us. Haddock was way overpriced for what you got. First time there. And were very disappointed. We did tell waitress and hostess of our experience. They said we should have asked for another duck. Why? And wait another hour..um..no. 2 of us locals might go back and try again, but it was pricey.

Nobody serving had on masks!! Their tea has changed to awful. Salt and pepper on table was a dead give away to uncleanliness. A dishcloth was used to clean multiple tables ,no noticeable spray disinfectant. Ugh! And we love to go there but COVID has changed how we look at restaurants.

I had the seafood platter(which the chef, server, and owner couldn't figure out what type of fish was in it) I should have changed my mind then. My wife ordered the smoked pork rib loin. The seafood they said was hand breaded, it was common freezer found items , which was poorly prepared. The pork dish (kasseler-like)was ok at best on flaver but the two chops were very inconsistent, one chop was a door stop shape and the other was ok.The presentation of anything we had was very sloppy. The server was new , as she said so no hope there, she must have been new to serving as well as the restaurant.

The only thing I didnt like was the salad. Which let's be honest not many salads are something to write home about. But DEAR LORD BABY JESUS that chicken & noodle soup was the best thing in life! Sirloin steak special was great! Steaks were cooked perfect and so tender! Great flavor!Cant wait to go back!
